I remember telling myself at 12 midnight, 27 november 2004 that "Today is a bloggable. I shall blog about it when I wake up."


22 hrs later, I had clean forgotten the events that happened just one day ago. Have to wreck my brains to recall. Don't worry, I don't think I have a clinical problem with memory. I don't know what problem I have. I don't seem to be able to remember things.


This is bad.


Yes! I went to Jay's concert yesterday!!! The crowd wasn't that "High" though... expected to go wild, and lose some of my voice, but didn't cuz this morning I was able to do the voice exercises at the Emcee-ing class (shall blog about that later) Anyway... It was the first time watching a 4-sided stage concert, although it's the third time watching a Jay concert for me. Conclusion that I draw: UnUsUaL Production has BAD sound system. Really BAD.


The first time at Suntec Convention Hall, the speakers were blasting so much that I went deaf despite sitting some 20 rows away from the stage. And you know, I had a friend who was rich enough to buy the most expensive tickets but unfortunate enough to get one right in front of the speakers. When I called her after the concert, she couldn't hear me at all! Gosh!!!


The second time I didn't remember having such a bad experience, so UnUsUaL is spared from some brutal comments.


This time round, the fast numbers were barely audible. (I mean, it's already bad enough when you can't make out what he's singing. Even worst when you can't even hear him at all.) That happened right at the start. The first song. Which happens to be one of my favourite: "Yi Fu Zhi Ming". GROWL. He was drowned by the band and his backup singers... Sigh... Thankfully the slower numbers can be heard, but there was so much echo. Eeeekkksss. Sennheiser phlueaseeee.... We deserve better sound systems!!!!!!


Bad sound system aside, I was mesmerized when he played Rondo on the piano!!!!! Gosh... The segment with him and Yu Hao from Nan Quan Ma Ma was my favourite can.. They were playing "4-hands" (not duet... just one after another) on Jay's pinky piano that looked way OFF (i feel... Cute, but not Kakkoii!) Yu Hao began with Fantasie Impromptu which just blew my mind away although his notes wasn't that slick, but impressive enough... then came a few more pieces, then RONDO! Just reminded me of Li Yundi and Jay playing together..... (I miss Li Yundi!!! Please come to Singapore!!!! I will try to sneak backstage man!!!!!!)


Ooppsss... I thought I went to a pop concert...


...Anyway! Yah was mesmerized and all that... You know, with the holding-the-breath thing... Eeemhahaeeemhaha. Anyway...! Jay can't dance for nuts. He shouldn't dance. Looked stupid. Whhoooopss. Haha. Am I a Jay fan? Why did I go and watch his concert and have so many stupid related comments? zz??zz??zz??


Maybe I won't be going for another Jay concert anymore.
