Yesterday.... was my first anniversary.
I've been labelled
a working adult for a year by anyone who would describe a person who lives in a cubicle for 2/3 of his/her day, stares at the computer pretending to be or truly furiously working, fuses over the load of unreplied & unread emails, longs for lunch time & go-home time (and of course the weekend), complains about having no life, having a lousy boss and weird colleagues... etc...
If all goes well, I wouldn't be this kind of working adult for long...
I hope it all goes well... I don't envision and I don't hanker for such a life, or rather to be truly honest, I am not satisfied with all these.
If someone may ask me, what have I learnt this year. I would wish this person never asked. Because I don't wish to answer. The strange thing with me is I am asking this question to myself, and I have the answers.... I wished these wasn't the truth but time has put a stamp and there is no running away from facts that are hard and cold. Too late to wish I had ran away, but then again there was no place that would take refuge of me.
I guess I can't bear to part the attractive travel benefits... so let me enjoy a little while more... though i should step foot on europe soon i know... because I probably can't afford it without the travel benefits......
I decided to move back to michellencarrom.blogspot.com because yaplog is driving me nuts for a few reasons:
1) Slow Connection Speed
2) Uncustomizable template
3) Unable to upload photos larger than 100KB i think. (1ooKB!!!!!! yeah!)
Although it has:
1) Nice range of skins to choose from
2) Japanese Interface which means I can practise reading Japanese....
OK can't think of any other reasons la....
This skin here sucks... i dont know what to change to. How wish the skins are as nice as the yaplog ones... I miss YAPLOG skins!!!!!!!!!!

Looks any familiar? yeah... this is Tsim Tsai Kee on Wellington Street, Hong Kong! The best wanton mee I've ever eaten in my life (excuse me, i do use this phrases "best... in my life" very very sparingly). BIG SUCCULENT PRAWNS is and will always be the best way to describe these wanton. There are at least 3 FRESH PRAWNS in each of these wanton. Although prices have inflated together with time - 2 years ago, it was a neat HKD10 bucks, 1 year ago, HKD 12 bucks and now HKD 13 bucks a bowl- it still proves worth it! Fortunately, Tsim Tsai Kee did not disappoint. They were able to maintain the quality which made this meal all so worthwhile. I was afraid of inflating my companion's expectations with my constant ravings and praises. Wonder what the locals think of this place. Oh yes, there's a Mak's Noodles right across the street, and I recently read on some foodie's blog that it is his fav noodle stall.... I've never tried Mak's cuz I guess I can only down one bowl of noodle at one go. And when I mean across the street, it really is less than 10 steps away!

To the right of this picture on my right, is the Mid-Levels Elevator which gets rather crowded in noon time with lots of working people making their way uphill to the restaurants/cafes to fill their stomachs. Walking up hill is good exercise for us after a hearty bowl of wanton mee. Of course what goes up comes down - as we were making our way down the slope via the stairs(not taking the elevator cuz anyway the elevator only goes up and not down), we chanced upon something we don't get to see everyday. I've never even heard of it, but by the sheer way this thing looks, it means we must try. Check the next post out.
