Love Bollywood Movies.


Think I mentioned it before sometime ago. On Deepavali I watched 1.25 Bollywood blockbusters. The first one was shown in the afternoon on Channel I: Mission Kashmir. Well, it might sound a bit like a heavy political film, but it isn't pro-india, or pro-pakistan. I think the film drives home a deeper message about the disputes that are going round, whether between the israelis and palestinians, or the taiwanese and the chinese, or the americans and the iraqis, or the Chans and the ??- stars of the Joo Chiat Neighbours Saga. Perhaps sometimes neverending disputes are a product of one's pride? Well obviously these issues are more complex than just what pride can explain.


Nonetheless, I guess if we narrow down from teritorial disputes to look at interpersonal conflicts. If one party is able to bring down his/her pride and make the first move to clear the air/apologise/iron out the problem, then our world will be such a better place.


Our world is smaller than we think. Despite connectivity and globalisation. Look at your friendster list of friends, your relatives, your family members, this is the world we are living in, our circle isn't it?
