a very very bored, boring and bothersome person. I hate those who irritate but I am an irritant to some as well.

Life Goal
You don't need too many goals in life. I just have one. To travel around the world, ie go to every part of the world. All other things that seem like goals, are merely means to an end. Well, of course, if I like that place, I would like to go there again.

Quite upset...

Essay

Essay Essay Essay!

I always had a problem writing essays. Application essays to be specific. For whatever kind of application. I guess I worry too much about how I sound. Do I sound positive? Do I sound enthusiastic? Do I make the reader nod their head and decide they should accept me?

The thing is... writing this essay makes me want to get the scholarship even more. I've never been awarded a scholarship. Not even those Edusave Bursary Awards... (Yah... I just wasn't quite there) So Mich, you think they will accept you for this competitive scholarship?

But it makes it clearer why I want to go and study in Japan so much. You know, it's like those childhood dreams of being a singer and the next moment you are one of the Top 12 Singapore Idol Finalists, and the very next moment you are crowned Singapore Idol. A dream will always be a dream, unless I make the move to turn it into reality. How many dreams have I turned to reality? What have I achieved?

...

The bigger the desire, the bigger the fear of disappointment.

Orhhh......

Maybe I should just be more optimistic about myself, at least I have tried. There's still a long way to go, yes, 5 more paragraphs to edit. So brace up.

17th December decides.

One more movie

Just wanted to add that over the weekend I watched My Girl on Hallmark Channel. N I shall declare that I liked the movie, it reminds me of several stories, My Lovely Bones (novel... current read), Patch Adams, Tuesdays with Morris, where death is confronted. In particular Patch Adams, cuz a sonnet was read, and in My Girl, here is a poem: Willow Tree

Weeping willow with your tears running down,
Why do you always weep and frown,
Is it because he left you one day,
Is it because he could not stay,
On your branches he would swing,
Do you long for the happiness
that they would bring,
He found shelter in your shade,
He thought his laughter would never fade,
Weeping willow stop your tears,
There is something to calm your fears,
You think death as if you forever part,
But I know he'll always be in your heart.

Simple, fuss free, but imagine it written and spoken from a 11 year old girl's heart.

You gotta watch the movie if you havent!

Dry Weekend

Dear Ego Busters,

sigh... it's been a dry weekend for me. Nothing much happened. Really. I just remember passing my weekend on the sofa, watching TV away, watching Runaway Bride, watching Princess D (Why? Cuz there's Daniel Wu!), watching Star Search, watching Zhen Qin, watching Searching on a Polestar, watching MTV Channel. And guess what, I went to my favourite local video rental store (as the americans call it) and rented 4 VCDs this morning.

Proudly, I proclaim to my father: I wouldn't have any more chance to slack after this holidays, you know...

Indeed. Year 2004 has been a year of movies. I swear I watched more movies this year than the number of movies that I watched from 1983 - 2003 added together. oh! suddenly it feels kinda crazy, but Dec 2004's quite a lost month for me, maybe cuz there is no more LOTR to anticipate. Cross my heart, I am not a movie buff but LOTR has been revolutionary. Did you know? (Trival Pursuit Time!) The Beatles wanted to make a LOTR but the technology could not support the fantasy of the movie!!!

Anyway, let me introduce the 4 VCD titles I rented.

1. Lost in Translation
Despite being told that Scarlet Johannsson is a bitch, I am watching it.

2. 2009 Lost Memories
Korean movie. Some Action blockbuster. Remember I mentioned somewhere in the realms of blogspot-dom that I needed a switch of tastes?

3. Long Fong Dou
Sammi Cheng and Andy Lau in their last movie together. A must catch!

4. Now this one was a tussle. I spent a few minutes deciding between this one and The Terminal. I was like, blue or pink? blue or pink? Then I decided to get this one: DA LAO AI MEI LI!!!

The reason why?

Well, Daniel Wu was on the cover for this one, while the other guy on the other cover is Tom Hanks.

Would you choose Daniel Wu or Tom Hanks???

Hahahahahaha. A new amusement.

I now proudly proclaim. I am a s*cker for VCDs. Off to watch 'em!

|| LITTLE WONDERS ~ lyrics ||

let it go, let it roll right off your shoulder
don’t you know the hardest part is over
let it in, let your clarity define you
in the end we will only just remember how it feels

our lives are made in these small hours
these little wonders, these twists & turns of fate
time falls away, but these small hours,
these small hours still remain

let it slide, let your troubles fall behind you
let it shine until you feel it all around you
and i don’t mind
if it’s me you need to turn to
we’ll get by,
it’s the heart that really matters in the end

our lives are made in these small hours
these little wonders, these twists & turns of fate
time falls away, but these small hours,
these small hours still remain

all of my regret will wash away some how
but i can not forget
the way i feel right now

in these small hours
these little wonders
these twists & turns of fate
these twists & turns of fate
time falls away but these small hours
these small hours, still remain,
still remain
these little wonders
these twists & turns of fate
time falls away
but these small hours
these little wonders still remain
