a very very bored, boring and bothersome person. I hate those who irritate but I am an irritant to some as well.

Life Goal
You don't need too many goals in life. I just have one. To travel around the world, ie go to every part of the world. All other things that seem like goals, are merely means to an end. Well, of course, if I like that place, I would like to go there again.

The Return of the Queen!

Back Back Back!!!

Back from Hong Kong!!!

Actually was back on Thursday morning, 1230am... flight delayed for a while. It was one of the worst flights I ever took. From the moment the plane's wheels left the safety of the Hong Kong ground, the plane was turbulent all the way. All the way till it's wheels extended and kissed Singapore land. The one thing cool about the flight was when we left Hong Kong, the captain said we could switch to Channel 9 and listen to the control towers. COOL!

UA895...Good Evening...

When the pilot/control tower says Good Evening, means they are flying into Hong Kong skies and they are acknowledging their presence. Our plane actually flew past Macau skies too. COOL. Haha

Planes and control towers aside, nope, not blogging about cute air steward or bitchy air stewardess this time, but there was quite a hoo-ha about this guy who had no nationality at the airport. Yeah. The Terminal. Haha. Ok. Not funny. It was quite an apt show to be played cuz Catherine Zeta Jones is perhaps the prettiest UA air stewardess ever. And Tom Hanks was so good in that movie. I mean, he's good in ALL movies. Speaking of which, I haven't watched that show he was stuck on an island with a volleyball with. What's that called? Shucks. OH! He's always stuck somewhere huh. He enjoys solitude? Dunno.

Right, I'm supposed to blog about Hong Kong, and a few words can describe my feelings about it.

Familiarity, Fascination and... TIRED.

Familiarity: is because I'm so glad that most roads still look quite the same when I last saw it, most shops stay despite capitalism and competition grinding at them, and most importantly, the FOOD is still as YUMMY.

Fascination: Because Hong Kong streets are still as packed, and people are still as PIA (working all the way giving leaflets for TelCos till 12 midnight and even beyond, and The Body Shop at Mong Kok closes at 3am.) Classic issn't it? We were at Causeway Bay (this shopping district) on Dong Zhi. (Tang Yuan day) and the streets were jam packed can.... With people, not cars. Traffic was almost paralysed. and Cars don't knock people down, People knock cars off. The sad thing about this trip is, I'm still as blur as I was about Causeway Bay area. I swear, my next trip to Hong Kong, I'm gonna stay in Causeway Bay area. BOO! And I'll probably go there next year or next next year! I'm not crazy, am I?

Here's actually a look at the crowd waiting to board the star ferry at the star ferry terminal, which is the ferry that ferries people from Kowloon to Hong Kong Island. The 2 most popular ways to get across from Kowloon to HK is either the scenic ferry or the MTR that goes underwater. There's no bridge that brings cars over, from what I can see. Think the HK govt didn't build it for good reasons. One, it would have taken an hour for cars to crawl over the bridge that would be about 3/4 the length of the Causeway Bridge, and Two, it would have spoilt the view of Victoria Harbour, and Three, it would have effects on the waterway traffic, and Four, it was already a project massive enough to build the MTR tunnel underwater, and Fourth I'd better stop giving reasons because even if I were capable of a list, my readers have no hoot what I am saying so I stop at 4.

Hmm, ok, 3. :P

Oh yah, the picture, well here's it.

Taken at such an angle and such a height, it would not have been the work of someone whose height is 159cm (I insist. No point 5...) So, credit goes to brother. (Who is not beyond 1.8m either :P )

Nope, no shopping done. Food aside, I managed to buy 7 items. Of which, all are accessories (my achilles heel)!!! Haha. Of the 7, 4 are presents. Leaving 3 for myself. Let me describe them here. Haha

1. My 1st BROOCH

Cool isn't it??? :) Cost quite a bomb, but I think it is soooo unique compared to the sea of other brooches out there. Haha

2. AN EARRING

Yes. Grammatically correct. Only one side of the earring which cost a whooping 59 HKD or was it 79 HKD? Anyway, the exchange rate was S$1 = HKD 4.65, so ONE side of the earring cost about $12? Yeah... by the time I realised there was only one side, I couldn't bear to ask for the other side. So, TADAH. But I reckon I can wear it with another earring that I bought that day, same kind of series... PPT remember? Haha.. That one was about $9.90 for a PAIR i think. Poof!

3. Having said so much and bought so little, the highlight of my BUYS is this thingy, that proudly mirrors my little un-shoppingish adventure.

Tadah!

Presenting... DUBBY!!!

Right. Actually, I was very tired on the trip cuz I fellllll SICK!!!!!!!! And I didn't go onto the PEAK! After Causeway Bay shopping I went back to the hotel on my own to feed myself with Panadol, and I had to drag myself downstairs to buy dinner... went under the subway to the sleazy Temple Street area, felt eyes starring at me... foreign looking, wearing trench coat, and flip flops, and feeling very very unsafe despite being clever and only bringing with me my handphone, an umbrella and HKD 100, I FLED... through the subway back to the coffeeshop across the hotel and bought some pork chop rice and a box of vegetables all in all for SINGAPORE $10. Felt greatly ripped. Thank goodness the pork chop was nice. The irritating part after all these, is that it wasn't cloudy or hazy on the peak, which is rare in winter... and the last time I went in late Spring it was. So hazy that I thought I was on Cloud 9. If only! If only the Clouds weren't in the way of the great luminous view of Hong Kong City! So, I can proudly say I've been to Hong Kong 3 times (a feat I am damn proud of, when I say it, my nose sticks in the air) and I've seen NONE of the view of Hong Kong with my own eyes. Nope. Not a problem. One more reason to go there a 4th time!

And... I wanted to go to Lantau Island to see some of emptyness and land, and see nobody, just see Buddha, but didn't manage to. Long story. Yah, long grandmother's story, so FORGET it. not gonna blog about the issue... 2nd reason to go there a 4th time!

And.... view from the peak courtesy of Mr Chan Wai Kit.

aaarrrrrrrrrrrgggggghhhhhhhhhhh

So much about Hong Kong, that's it for a while... Love the city!

Just some more about the wonderful Hong Kong Dim Sum at this restaurant that my friend's auntie bought me to during my 2nd trip, and I bought the group to this time... Guess what, we were soooooooo full, and 5 of us, we paid jusy HKD 53 each!! Which is barely SGD12!!!!! Darn!!! Should have ordered one more basket of HAR GOW!!!! I LOVE HAR GOW I LOVE HAR GOW I LOVE HAR GOW!!! :)

|| LITTLE WONDERS ~ lyrics ||

let it go, let it roll right off your shoulder
don’t you know the hardest part is over
let it in, let your clarity define you
in the end we will only just remember how it feels

our lives are made in these small hours
these little wonders, these twists & turns of fate
time falls away, but these small hours,
these small hours still remain

let it slide, let your troubles fall behind you
let it shine until you feel it all around you
and i don’t mind
if it’s me you need to turn to
we’ll get by,
it’s the heart that really matters in the end

our lives are made in these small hours
these little wonders, these twists & turns of fate
time falls away, but these small hours,
these small hours still remain

all of my regret will wash away some how
but i can not forget
the way i feel right now

in these small hours
these little wonders
these twists & turns of fate
these twists & turns of fate
time falls away but these small hours
these small hours, still remain,
still remain
these little wonders
these twists & turns of fate
time falls away
but these small hours
these little wonders still remain
