This year's christmas celebrations had been an eye-opener. Spent it at Uncle James' house, together with all my uncles, aunties and cousins. In particular, The J family has added 5 more Js to their J name since I last saw them during CNY (i think...) This year, the Hue family hasn't gathered much because 2 uncles are always working overseas. One flying around the globe, and the other sailing to indonesia and back only every other weekend cuz he is in the shipping industry. Hence, little meet-ups.
Back to the 5 more Js to the J*** Hue family. (Hue is the Surname)
They are... Jam, Juice, Jupiter, Jibble, and... (can't remember the last J)
Nope, my auntie hasn't got quadruplets. Shit. No. Quad means 4 right? What's the word for 5-plets? Whatever. You got the idea. The addition to the brood is actually the brood of Guinea Pigs. Here's Cousin Jeanie with her favourite. The mother to all of the rest of the guinea pigs in the cages. (There are 4 cages in their living room. Thank goodness they live in a condo and are moving to a newer one... At this rate, they need a bungalow with the big field to rear the pigs. Opps. Sorry, i meant guinea pigs. Hee)
When the other 2 cousins arrived, the 7 of us(Joey didnt join us) went downstairs for a wild and long game of captain's ball downstairs, which resulted in countless of merciless mosquito bites on our legs and arms. Cousin Jiawei and Bruno showed off their dribbling skills using the basketball (according to our rules, dribbling was allowed along the concrete strip but not the grass patch) While I gamely volunteered to be the Captain, to show off my slacking skills. Just need to ensure I don't have butter fingers, and try my best to catch the ball. Haha. Captain's Ball is one of the best things ever. Maybe when the small ones grow up we can play dodge ball. Looking forward to that... Haha
People get hungry after playing games... especially growing people also known as adolescents. Having 3 among the 7, dinner was the next thing. And there was a mad rush at the food. Look at all the hands at one time!
Yeap. I think mine was caught by camera... :)
AND....! To illustrate how good it was, here are some poses... by the moonlight even.
Cousin Bruno, Me and Cousin Jeanie
Cousin Reika
After dinner...
Being very typical Singaporeans, not only was there a mad rush at the dinner table, there was another mad rush at another table.

MJ!!!
Can somebody count and tell me how many hands there are? Add 2 more to include the taker of the photograph, and that then divide by 2. This will give you the number of people who were playing MJ on Christmas Day. Age range: 9 - 21. And let me tell you... the winning combi actually belonged to a particular 11 year old, and 18 year old. DAMMMMM. They won 5 times in all! Me and Cousin Jeanie lost 7 times, and won only once. The last time when all the adults came in to the room after their movie ended and they all stood behind us giving us the SUPPORT. and tadah.... MC ZHI4 MO1 and won the game!!!!!!
MJ was fun, and now you know why Christmas was an eyeopener to me because I never knew that all my cousins... especially the 9 year old, 11 year old and 13 year old siblings were hard core fans of Mah Jong. Oh gosh!!! I was prepared to Bridge whole night!! Oh man!!! Never mind, looking forward to New Year's Eve cuz gonna sleep over at Cousin Reika and Jiawei's house and we're gonna bridge and MJ all the way!!! :)

Here's mum posing, and pretending to coach Cousin Jiawei (middle) when actually 9 year old Cousin Jonas is the expert!!! :P
MJ is good!
Looking forward to working my brains on Bridge on Friday!
