Hey all... it's been a week now, and I'm not settling in well yet...


There's a lot of admin things to settle off my list and to add to that, work to learn.


I'm in the midst of searching for an apartment but there's a lot of paper work involved in the process... i've shortlisted this certain place and i hope the paper work will not drag the deal off. And guess what, just across the street is this restaurant called "Singapore Express"! Talk about home being a stone's throw away. I really hope I can move in there....


As for car, I'm driving a bone shaker... and have contributed a few more cosmetic damages (btw, the outlook was pretty poor in the first place) - the most serious being ripping off the nylon rim when i swerved and hit the kerb... gosh... and also bumming the boot into the wall when I was reversing into the lot. Some how I cannot park head-in. It's more difficult moving out of the lot than parking backside in. Talk about training. I hope I get used to driving on the right side of the road... (literally)... It's been tough... but I'm improving day by day. Nowadays, I take a leaf from Shirley and I say a prayer before I start my car everyday...


Finally, I have 2 more things on my list that are pending... bank account & someting that I cant mention here...


Hopefully I get to tick bank account off my list tomorrow. Hopefully.


My cargo has yet to arrive so without pots and pans I can't cook... I'm roaring to go to the chinese supermarket actually... get some vegetables and all. So far I've been living off cup noodles & lean cuisines (microwave food)... GOSH. I hate it... feel so unhealthy! I need a decent home cooked meal. And Thanks to my Station Manager & his wife, they invited me to their place for dinner last night. And mum was just telling me to cook potato, carrot, celery soup. Viola! SM's wife cooked that! :)


Food... FOod... Fooddd.... CARGO QUICK COME!!!!!!


That's all for now folks.. it's 1.08am... and guess what, i'm actively typing now but I'm yawning around 5pm in the day. In fact, today I took a nap in office (first ever time in my life) and I think my SM saw me sleeping. I only fell asleep at 3am the last night and woke up at 6am! Hahaha... I can't adjust yet though I think I should quickly sign off and go to bed at once...

Oh yah... speaking about photos... i totally have no mood for photos and my apartment's in a hideous mess I can't bear to show you all... hahahaha.

haha.. i tot must have an account den can post comments.. anw, i read your blog.. you jia you yeah.. i guess it will be tough at the beginning, but after a while, everthing just falls into place..thats how i felt when i went Franc too.. and i totally understand the part about eating microwave food! urgh.. had that in France cuz it was much cheaper and we didnt even have any utensils to cook! haha..

was supposed to be doing some company law tutorial.. too bored le.. anw, you are being missed! :) it just seems so weird without you and biao ge around..boooooo..

school and stuff is snowpiling up.. i just cleared recess week and all the projects and tests are due like next week.. haha.. *panda eyes*

oh well.. hope to hear from you soon.. btw, jia wei got back his prelims le.. 29 after moderation o_O.. think he will be going to Millenia Institute..he is still working hard for his O's lah.. still as rebellious as ever.. hmmm..

hey hey reika! my dear jiali!

So happy hearing from you! sorry that I couldn't talk to you this morning... microwave food makes me lose appetite... I still have 4 packets in my fridge, and I don't feel like having them anymore. Even my favourite cup noodles make me sick... LUCKILY, this morning after I got out of the bathroom, the guy from the cargo company called and guess what?

They've delivered the cargo to my place! Meaning... mycondiments & food are all here with me + my pots and pans!!!!!! Happiness.... you guys won't be able to imagine how happy I was... and indeed I was smiling and doing the "YES! YES! YES!" thingy after the deliveryman left the apartment! ahahhaa

And i even treated myself to a US$13 lunch comprising japanese udon, inari sushi and iced blended mocha. In fact I'm having lunch & I'm at my desk now.. but I am just reading through emails and blogging and not really getting down to work yet... Anyway, I will be staying late today, so I ain't guilty :)

Well... jiali.... you guys are missed too! I wonder when we can BANG again... sob sob sob. and our mahjong sessions. you guys are my one and only mahjong kakis... i guess now that biao ge and I are overseas, you all no need to share anymore... hahaha.

Anyway, hope you do well in your exams... Uni is important in the sense that it is a stepping stone to society, and a good place to get to know people, make friends, socialise, and of course have fun and enjoy. I had lots of fun during uni days and I am sure you're enjoying your uni days as well. must treasure these carefree days because when you start working, especially in Singapore high stressed society, emphasise work and money... you won't get to enjoy life that much anymore. having said that, are you going for GIP or Work & Travel or something? seize the opportunity... :) You'll never get such things again when you start work!

As for your brother, 29 is horrendous. pls tell him that. haha. but i am very happy to hear that he's working hard. Grades do matter. Me, biaoge, my mum & dad are very concerned about him and will root him all the way. Tell him to focus for now, and think of enjoying later. It's difficult, I know.. at that age to understand. but once he can overcome that, everything just works. I guess I've had enough experience studying to be qualified to say that... hehe. The difference between a good student and a mediocre one is the ability to stay focused and disciplined... These are important life skills and success factors too! You'll be amazed to hear that I miss studying so much... hahaha. 17 yrs of education... what do u think?

I will certainly take care of myself & open my eyes big big while driving. the thing is I can drive better now and have better control of the car... :) no worries.

I just finished a terrible week in school, after submitting reports and going throught tests.

ha.. how are things over there? btw, you mentioned you were driving a car? company sponsored? or you had to go through the trouble of buying etc etc

ha.. you should ask biao ge to come visit your blog too.. den we can have three way emails :) i havent heard from him in a while.. haha..

anw, i dun think i will be going for the GIP to beijing.. cuz of the my PA lor..if i go means i will do my PA in china, abit not relevant to my field, and might not prove to be very useful

anw i heard that doing GIP in china, the transportation is b@#!$.. haha.. and i hate long travelling times on the bus.. urgh

so, how long does it actually take for u to drive to your work place?? haha.. post up some pics of your apartment surroundings and stuff :)
